Project Description
This painting is used on the cover of the book that accompanies the Series.
It shows, from bottom to top, the original owners of the land on which Sydney sits. One can only imaging the strange sight they saw as Captain Cook’s Endeavour first appeared in the harbour.
Further up is the modern metropolis, and above that is Captain James Cook with a symbol of Britain – the lion.
